Annoying diary blog entry (ADBE) No. 1

Annoying diary blog entry – a blog post in which the blogger presents little content of informational value as he/she writes about his own life and such.

Like, what else have I been doing on here, anyway?

One day I do hope to publish a blog with a more centralized focus, but as I say in the “about” section, this blog is created to share bits and pieces of my life. The primary purpose behind this blog was for me to have a place to release my random internet creativity whims, and to allow whoever cared a place to follow my life as an overworking student/athlete/reporter/sportswriter, and see how my careers go throughout the next year or so.

I figured perhaps it could get pretty interesting, especially as baseball kicks back up and things begin going well for me, as they typically do in my last year on any team. In realizing it is my final year to play with a team, it’s like my brain finally shuts down that mechanism that overanalyzes everything and allows me to play the way I love to play – free.

But until then, you’ll have to deal with rambles such as the following.

It’s 2:33 a.m. Sunday night/Monday morning. I have a geography final exam at 3:30 p.m., but have to be at work in Kenly at 8 a.m. – Monday is the busiest day at the News as production day. I have one big feature story due that I am still polishing (and which will only be kinda so-so, much to my chagrin, though I hope to revamp it as a studly freelance piece in the summer) and have another feature story I wish to write that I have yet to type the first word for.

And I have that geography exam, which is going to be nearly as impossible as walking on water. Hmm, wonder whose help I need there?

And yet with all that going on, I find myself longing to simply disappear into a room with nothing else other than a computer, desk, and comfy chair, in which I may write and create and become whatever it is that I don’t know I want to be.

I want a sweet-looking web site full of stories and books and articles I have written. I want a list of my bestsellers. I want a “Contact Me” section that is the most-visited section of the site.

But to get all that I need to first create items worth going to a web site for. So that is what I shall now go do.
