NJHS grad survives crash, coma to be college graduate

Brandon Williams, a 2002 graduate of North Johnston High School and Kenly resident, was not supposed to cross the J.S. Dorton Arena stage with Shaw University last Saturday. The 24-year-old sociology major was mangled beyond recognition in a horrific car crash two summers ago on June July 14, 2006, just months after completing his junior year at the university, and was not expected to live through the night, much less recover to the point of being a fully-functioning human being again.
